We are so happy with our new floors. So, so happy. We had two different types of flooring installed in our home. The first was in the master bedroom, closets, and office. Those rooms had carpet before, and we wanted to replace the carpet with hardwood floors. The second project was the basement (we had carpet but wanted vinyl plank).
We got estimates from two companies. The first company gave a very vague description and a price tag that didn’t really tell us much about the cost of the flooring, cost of installation, etc. That deterred us from using the other company. When we contacted Ben from Your Floor, he came out and took measurements. We were able to discuss our projects with him and he was very accommodating.
When we received the estimate from Your Floor, it had an exact breakdown of the cost of materials based on specific measurements, as well as the cost of installation. We like those details. We proceeded with Your Floor. One of the features we used in the beginning of the projects was the “Room Viewer” tool on their website. We were able to see what the flooring options were by taking a photo of our rooms, and seeing what the flooring options were for colors and types. It really helped us make our decision on exactly what we wanted to have installed. We got everything scheduled and they came out and removed the carpeting, installed the new hardwoods, sanded and stained the new floors and the floors are beautiful.We also had them do a technique called “hand-scraping” on the hardwoods. We absolutely love the way they turned out.
The second project we did was in our basement. We had carpet removed, a moisture barrier rolled on (pictures attached) and vinyl plank flooring installed in the entire basement (bathroom included). It looks great, is so easy to clean, and the biggest perk (in my opinion) is the fact that if there is ever any water damage to the basement (water heater, toilet overflow, etc), it is an easy clean up. It is perfect flooring for a basement.
I can highly recommend this company for their prices, getting the projects done efficiently, the communication, and the ease of doing business with Ben and the installation crew. We are extremely happy with our new floors. 5 Stars.
