5 Star Review By Cuyler Salyer
Well we didn't know what we wanted to eat this weekend and wanted to eat in. So instead of going to our usual "go to Restaurant, with a lot of choice when we don't know what we feel like" - I went on-line and saw Dutch's had a weekend combo. It was great; wings were very good, sub (we're saving for evening dinner), and the pizza! Ah, someone still knows how to make a real good pizza in Tepic. (It will now become our go-to place for pizza and of course other things). Tepic is slowly getting a reputation for the town of "Horrible Pizzas"! Hey it all starts with the sauce stupid!!! Even Lola's when it opened had ample sauce - not now. Even a wrestling match with the cook at Lola's or Pizza Hut and you will still get the sauce "dribbled on during a fly by at 500 ft.) = not enough! If you do not have a great tomato sauce, and AMPLE amount - well it's NOT a Pizza, period! Dutch's get's it. I've had the best in Philadelphia and NYC, even had their horrible pizza in Rome, so I know good pizza. l would, I just ask your cook to make the crust a little thinner, as the whole wheat crust is a little too crunchy for our taste. You tell me to eat healthy and I will. Dutch is the consummate Restauntour in Tepic. He could have a "Vietnamese" night and we would come. He's passionate about his food and restaurant - and that's a VERY good thing!
