Did you know, in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo is known as El Día de la Batalla de Puebla (The Day of the Battle of Puebla). And while it is celebrated in parts of Mexico it is more widely celebrated here, in the U.S. In fact, Los Angeles’s annual Cinco de Mayo celebration is bigger than the one that takes place in Puebla, Mexico, where the holiday originated. Today is not just a day for eating tacos – although you should definitely eat some, it’s a day to celebrate Mexicans’ cultural pride, courage, and resilience. Feliz Cinco de Mayo ❤️🤍💚
