Holy Tuesday 2023 – The Greatest Commandments: Love God and Love Your Neighbor

On Holy Tuesday, Jesus was questioned by the Pharisees and Sadducees, who sought to challenge His authority. When asked about the greatest commandment, Jesus responded, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39).

Promise of God: God’s love is everlasting and faithful. Scripture: Lamentations 3:22-23 – “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
