The Golden Hop Saloon has a fantastic atmosphere, great service, and delicious food & cocktails. The portions are large but not overly so. The only drawback, notably a very minor one, was a lack of clarity about which TVs would be showing sports. I highly recommend visiting if you find yourself in the area.
My wife and I decided to eat dinner here before catching a movie at the nearby theater. I had the Rodeo Burger with onion rings. Burger was a 1/3 pound seasoned patty with BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, onion ring, lettuce and tomato. I decided to add bacon for $2. The onion rings were the battered kind and came out nice and hot and fried to perfection.
My wife ordered the chicken strips with tater tots. It came with 3 huge chicken strips and a good amount of tots. Everything was piping hot, so it was obvious the server was on her toes and did not let it sit in the window.
Speaking of the server, she was attentive and routinely checked on us and kept are drinks filled.
The atmosphere is how I would picture an old saloon. Long bar with various liquors showcased behind. The dining room features floor seating as well as a balcony above.
